Situated around one of the Netherlands’ most iconic landmarks, the Oosterschelde storm surge barrier (the Oosterscheldekering) our wind farms generate enough sustainable energy to power approximately 147,000 households daily. That is equivalent to 80 per cent of all households in the province of Zeeland.
Windparken Oosterscheldekering: E-Connection’s flagship project
Around the Oosterschelde Barrier, E-Connection has brought together its many years of knowledge and expertise in wind energy to create one of the Netherlands’ most visually striking wind projects. The company developed the wind farms at this unique location, has optimised them over the years, and is responsible for their management.
In short, E-Connection’s relationship to the Windparken Oosterscheldekering is like that of an architect to a building: the company conceived, developed, and realised the project, and continues to manage it today.
